4 Reasons Why Brunch Is the Best Meal

golf coursesAfter a long week, there’s no way to unwind quite like a Sunday brunch. Whether it’s for a special occasion, holiday, or just because, celebrating the end of the week (or kicking off the week ahead) with a hearty, social meal is good for the body and soul.

But how did brunch come about, anyway?
Brunch was established in late 19th century England and served as the post-church meal. Since it was too late to be considered breakfast, but too early to be considered lunch, brunch was born. And since it had to take the place of two meals, it was far more indulgent. Although not quite as indulgent as it is today.

It took nearly 30 years for brunch to catch on in the United States, but we’re so glad that it did. If you haven’t indulged in your favorite brunch special recently, read on and remember just what you’re missing out on.

    1. A Variety of Cuisines
Whether you’re in the mood for something sweet or savory, hearty or light, even breakfast or lunch, there’s surely something on the brunch menu for you.
    1. Two Meals in One
For those who like multitasking, brunch is the perfect meal. Save time and money by eating out just once in the middle of the day, rather than planning multiple meals at different times.
    1. Time Flexibility
Of course, brunch doesn’t have to be right after church these days. Whether you want to get a head start and come mid-morning or even into the early afternoon, the brunch menu won’t go anywhere. No one is stopping you from eating pancakes at noon if that’s what you really want, or even a salad at 11 o’clock in the morning. Even the drink menus will be on display in the early morning. Grab a Bloody Mary or a Bellini and enjoy!
    1. Enjoying Great Company
Brunch isn’t all about the food, though it is up there. One of the best parts of brunch is being able to share it with friends and family and bond over a leisurely meal.
